These new SOL’s and tests are quite controversial. Questions have been raised regarding the appropriateness and : fairness of these standards and , tests which will eventually,, determine who graduates from high school and which Virginia public schools are accredited. On April 2 at 7 p.m. at the f library the First Thursday Education Support Group will host a program exploring the,, SOL and how the tests are affecting Rappahannock’s students. An overall view of how the SOL’s affect county schools and information about how students are prepared for the tests will be presented.
