In more complicated fans, installation means replacing not only the ceiling light fixture, but also the wall switch plate — once again by matching color coded wires (with the circuit breaker off!).
Screen your guests
With warm weather, mosquitoes will exploit every opening into your house. Now is the time to rescreen the raggedy storm door or window. After measuring the existing screen space and allowing for a 2-inch overhang on all sides, purchase the needed length of aluminum or fiberglass screening, in the appropriate width.
You’ll also need an installation tool that resembles a pizza cutter, plus new “spline,” the tubing that secures the screening in the groove of the frame.
Pry up the old spline and remove the old screen. Center the new screening over the frame. Using the installation tool, gently roll the screening into the groove, while keeping the material taut. With the same tool, roll the new spline into the screen in the groove,
