Kirk says.
“If you want piles, fine!” she says with a smile. “It’s not a big thing to get emotional about.”
The trick is to find a system that works for you, not trying to fit yourself into someone else’s system, she says.
The first thing Kirk does to help a client get organized is to listen.
A successful songwriter took Kirk around her house, describing the different rooms and spaces and showing the different areas where she did her work.
One space elicited such a warm, emotional description that Kirk immediately recommended she do all her creative work there. All the “business” functions and machines were moved to another area.
Kirk believes that children should have a special place to study.
“It’s like a Zen garden — a place where you go to mediate, it saves time. It only has that one function in that space. So when you are there, you automatically are thinking about what
