Jerry Edward Atkins,60, of Suitland, Md., died on Feb. 15 at Bethesda Navel Hospital in Bethesda, Md.
Bom in Washington, D.C. Nov. 11, 1937 he was the son of the late Garland Westberry Atkins, and Mildred Hamman Atkins.
He was the foster son of the late Mrs. Fannie R Eastham of Flint Hill.
He retired from the army after 23 years of service, with several outstanding awards. He then retired from the Maryland State Correctional Center in Upper Marlboro, Md.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Regina M. Atkins of Suitland, Md.; a daughter
