Science
Teacher Beth Gall presented an overview of a new course in Environmental Science for 10, 11, and 12th graders. Thirteen students are enrolled in the course which focuses on such topics as ecosystems, water resources, air pollution and atmospheric environmental issues, land use planning, soil conservation and sustainable agriculture, biodiversity, energy, recycling and other waste management issues.
Lord Fairfax Community College is now offering three different environmental technician options, said Gall, and the program has established ongoing working relationships with Shenandoah National Park, the Center for Research and Conservation in Front Royal, the Rappahannock
