Bring in the great outdoors
This time of year we are all in need of more green. Head to your nearest nursery or plant and flower shop and select a few flowering plants.
African violets have lovely white or purple blooms and do not require a lot of care. A basket of potted tulip bulbs or daffodils will live long after your fresh cut roses have withered. Topiaries come in a myriad of shapes and sizes and can add height to a table arrangement. Ferns are lush and abundant in shape and add a sense of depth to an empty space.
If your room lacks the necessary amount of light, remember to relocate plants for their required sun dosage.
For special occasions or just to cheer you up, fill a vase with your favorite fresh-cut flowers. Roses are a classic, but Casablanca lilies envelop rooms with their exotic, sweet perfume.
