coordinator for the county’s Love and Laughter Cancer Support Group, which she began and she is a licensed breast cancer education facilitator As such, she travels the district giving talks about breast cancer awareness and breast self exams. She is on the local ACS board and is a member of the Flint Hill United Methodist Church, and the charge treasurer for Flint Hill UMC, Willis Chapel and Sperryville UMC. Settle has also been on the special education advisory committee in the county and has always been interested in furthering special education as one of her daughters is hearing impaired. For that reason she is proficient in sign language as well. It’s hard to believe she can fund any more time to squeeze in anything else, but she does. Settle makes numerous home visits to cancer victims to help them deal with the disease and give them hope that they can survive it as she has.
