Yes, another March has arrived, heralding National Nutrition Month once again. The theme for 1998 is “Make Nutrition Come Alive. It’s All About You!” The ongoing theme for National Nutrition Month is Eat Right America.
The “It’s All About You” message of National Nutrition Month '98 was developed to support the nutrition recommendations of the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, the Food Guide Pyramid, and the Nutrition Facts food label. This part of the slogan was originally developed as a project of the Dietary Guidelines Alliance in 1996.
The use of the slogan for National Nutrition Month ‘98 focuses the campaign on a message of “personalized nutrition”, the need and opportunity to take broader nutritional recommendations and apply them according to individual food preferences, nutritional needs, health status, and lifestyle choices.
Along with promoting the flexibility of nutritional recommendations, the slogan implies that it is not only all about you. but also up to you.
