noted it currently costs $6,029 to educate each of the 5,345 students in Culpeper County’s public schools. The average pupil-teacher ratio is 19.2 with an anticipated student growth next year of an additional 200 students. Many citizens were pleased to learn consideration is being given to renovating and adding on to the vacated Floyd T. Binns school in lieu of a new middle school.
Culpeper residents are directed to address their administrative concerns to Division Superintendent Larry Brooks at 825-3677 and concerns of a policy nature to their School Board member. Cathy Lou may be reached at 937-5024.
