Despite the recent drop in temperatures and the coldest weather of this winter, the spring sports teams at Rappahannock County High School have been warming up, practicing and are ready to begin their respective season schedules.

is the first year that the school has fielded a girls’ varsity soccer team and it has been made possible through hard work, donations of uniforms by the Athletic Boosters and community support.
“Members of our school community have worked hard to realize the goal of a girls’ soccer team. Now that the goal is a reality, we are all excited about building a team that represents excellence in soccer. Our team is proud to be ‘a first’ and they are meeting the challenge by working hard and having fun at the same time,” Grimes said, speaking for herself and Pace.
Most of the girls are 9th and 10th graders thus providing for growth in the coming years. The team members are:
