left carotid artery. Clots went up the artery to her brain and she suffered a stroke. Her left ankle was broken in the accident as well.
She was taken to Fauquier Hospital and immediately flown to Fairfax Hospital where she remained until Feb. 13. Scott was then moved to CHCC, where she has worked for 13 years. When and if she will be able to return to work is still unknown. She is being tested this week to determine the extent of damage done to her brain.
She is, and has been, in therapy for up to six hours a day and her doctors are very encouraged by her recovery so far said her sister, Sheila Scott, who works for the Rappahannock Sheriff’s Office and is also a fire and rescue volunteer.
