Benefit breakfast planned
An all-you-can-eat breakfast will be held Saturday, March 21 at Rappahannock Elementary School to benefit Sharon Scott. Serving will be 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and costs are $6 for adults (11 and older) and $3 for children 10 and under. Pat Jenkins is in charge of food service. The benefit is sponsored by the Rappahannock County Fire Association.
Committee to meet
Sperryville Gateway Project Committee will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 26 at the Sperryville fire hall. The public is invited.
Organization meeting slated
An organizational meeting will be held April 9 from 7 to 8 p.m. for persons involved in Small & Home Based Businesses to explore the possibility of creating a group interested in empowering each other to succeed, sharing ideas, use as a sounding board, share leads, etc.
The first meeting will be used to explore the possibilities based on your needs and what type of structure the group should/would be. Call Ellen at 987-8248 by April 8 if you will be attending or are interested but the date/time does not work for you. Space is limited, call for location and directions. Michael Roberts of the Virginia Cooperative Extension Office in Culpeper has been invited to share his ideas which range from networking to group building to a computer classroom on wheels.
Workshop scheduled
A Stained Glass Workshop will be offered for beginners on Saturday, March 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All materials are included to make a small panel window and the cost is $65. Call DeDanann Glassworks at 987-8615 for more information.
