Passport delays,
apply early
The Rappahannock County Circuit Court office is experiencing unusually long delays in the issuance of U.S. passports and urges anyone with travel plans that require a passport to submit their applications at least six weeks before their departure date, eight weeks would be better.
Passports previously took about three weeks when submitted during this time of year. The “busy” season is in the spring and summer; applications will likely take even longer during those times. More information can be obtained by calling Diane Bruce at the Clerk’s Office, 675-3621.
