Six more residents spoke in opposition to the proposed application. They said if the towing and storage service was allowed, they would be concerned about safety on Route 626, the possibility that more than five cars could eventually be kept at the business, possible pollution of streams from runoff and about the effect on land values.
Hitt presented a petition favoring the business signed by 16 other residents in the area. He said the garage is on graded, flat land and the nearest stream is at least 3,000 feet away from where the cars would be.
