Applications will be accepted beginning Friday for the Department of Social Services Fuel Assistance Program.
The department, which expects to have about $35 million statewide to put into the program, will continue to accept applications until Feb. 28,1986.
Last year, some 175 applications were processed locally.
Services are available for those one-person households where total earnings are less than $6,564 or where the total income of a fourmember household is $14,160.
Applications are processed within 30 days and written notice is given to those qualifying households. The actual amount of assistance is based on income, household size, fuel used and geographic area of the state.
Rappahannock households can qualify for up to $450.
