RCES SPTA holds
sock hop, party
The Rappahannock County Elementary School Student Parent Teacher Association will meet Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the school’s library.
The SPTA will hear committee reports on projects planned for the coming school year.
The SPTA is sponsoring a Sock Hop and Fun Fair tomorrow from 79 p.m. in the school’s gymnasium to raise money for SPTA projects. Admission $1 per person, and families will be admitted for a single, $5 admission. Fun Fair activities will be extra.
A haunted house, cake walk and other activities are planned. Students can compete in a costume contest.
Parents are asked to bring baked goods.
The seventh grade Class of 1985 donated the sound system for the hop.
More information about the hop may be obtained by calling coordinator Edie Clark at 675-3188.
The meeting Tuesday is open to the public. Baby-sitters will be on hand for those parents with children.
