Mr. and Mrs. Gavor Foster gave a birthday dinner party on Oct. 28 for their son, Chris, and Mrs. Foster's aunt, Mrs. Mary Francis Chadwell, of Front Royal. Guests were John Lange, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cooley and daughters, Christal, Christina and Teresa, all of Front Royal, Mr. and Mrs. K.P. The United Methodist Women met last Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Wade Pullen.
Mrs. Barbara Gentry led the program for the evening on “Paul’s letters.”

Denny Nutter, of Annapolis, Md., and Mrs. Joy Hoag, of Chestertown, Md., spent Saturday and Sunday with their mother, Mrs. Warren Presgraves. Sunday, they visited Mr. Presgraves at the Shawnee Nursing Home near Winchester.
Mrs. Mabel Lillard returned to her home on Sunday after being a patient in Winchester Medical Center.
Paul Louis Miller, Jr., of Odenton, Md., was a Sunday dinner guest of his mother, Mrs. Paul Miller. ; George Nethers, of Stephen City, was a Saturday overnight guest of his grandmother, Mrs. Robert Nethers. Visiting on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Nethers, Mrs. Bob Lewis, Karen Corder, Charles Corder, Jr., Heather Aylor, Mrs. Ranny Aylor and Mrs. F.D. Coffey, Jr.
Mis. Maynard Nethers entered Winchester Medical Center on Monday to undergo surgery on Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Pearson, of Hume, were Wednesday guests of Mrs. Wade Pullen. Saturday visitors were Mrs. Shelton Grimsley and Mrs. Charlie Butler and boys, Daniel and Todd. Saturday evening guests were Mr. and Mis. Arnold Whitmer, of Front Royal, Bemie Gilpin and Mrs. Ethel Pullen.
Pete Lillard, of Manassas, was a Saturday guest of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hickerson.

Mrs. Linda Pierpoint and son, Ned, Jr., of Alexandria, spent Saturday and Sunday with Mrs. Pierpoint’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Lillard. Sunday visitors were Maize Montgomery, of Warrenton, and Linda Mills, of Marshall.'
Michael Vest, of Virginia Beach, was a Tuesday and Wednesday overnight guest of his mother, Mrs. Christine Vest. Curtis Vest, of Longwood College, and Theresa Coangelo, of Springfield, were Sunday guests of Mr. Vest’s grandmother and later drove across the Skyline Drive.
