Jerry Baliles has recognized the impact that the National Park Service has on the central area of the 7th District. He urged an effort by local, state and federal authorities to focus on the positions taken so that conflict between the various governmental units is avoided in the future.
“It is important to attract tourists and their dollars to this area,” explained Baliles as he drove through Rappahannock and Page counties.
Aware that there is historic distrust of the National Park Service, he urged that there be greater communication between the local governments that adjoin the park and the National Park Service.
