On the day before Halloween there was much excitement. Many children were searching for costumes, some for plastic frogs to put down girls’ dresses.
On Halloween night, the children were roaming the streets. One boy, Mark, was trying to get the children scared by running around and stealing candy by means of: A glow in the dark skeleton; rats; mice, particularly white mice; and plastic spiders.
He challenged people to go into the old Brewster House, a scary abandoned old house. It was said that old Mr. Brewster’s ghost haunted the place.
Mark got one boy, John, to go through the house. Mark had been through the house before and set up some traps like a sheet that rises like a ghost when you pull a string, a plastic monster that will pop out of a bookcase and many other nasty tricks.
On the way in, John did not know what Mark had done. After John had gone through the house and spent the night, Mark thought it was time he came out, but day after day and night after night John never came out.
People say Mr. Brewster used John’s body to hold his soul and now Mr. Brewster roams the streets in John’s body, disguised as a blind man.

And she ran over me. The end.
