Besides ministering on a stage, Randy said he does some youth counselling.
“I feel for kids with problems, and I try to understand them but I’ve never had their kinds of prob- -v lems,” he said. “Some people may think I’ve led a sheltered life, but I’m grateful that I was raised away from those things. A lot of kids don t think I’m being my real self since I talk about what I believe and I don’t do the things they do.”
Randy is outgoing and vocal about his beliefs, which has created a few problems.
“When some people find out what I do, they immediately turn off to me,” he said. “That’s hard to face and get through.”
Randy understands why some people are uncomfortable around him.
“They think that if they were like me, they wouldn’t be able to do the things they enjoy,” Randy said. “I may not smoke, party all night, drink, dance or other things, but I'm happier than most because I know who and what I’m living for.”
