Lights of Love will shine brightly this holiday season as the Culpeper Memorial Hospital Auxiliary again sponsors this annual event.
The project, adopted by many hospital auxiliaries throughout the state, gives meaning to lights on holiday trees at community hospitals. The red and white lights on the tree at CMH represent donations of $5 or more in honor or in memory of loved ones, while the lights in the star of the tree represent donations of $50 or more.
The names of those honored with lights will be recorded in a memorial book that will be placed in the hospital lobby during the holiday season and cards will be sent to announce the gift.
“This year, donations received from Lights of Love will be used to renovate the hospital obstetric department,” said Lights of Love coordinator Eula Henretty.
