9 advise you to obey only the Holy Spirit's jjj 0 instructions. He will tell you where to go y 9 and what to do, and then you won't always 0

9 evil things that are just the opposite from ^ # the things that the Holy Spirit tell us to do; I

9 the Spirit has his way with us are just the ^ 0 opposite of our natural desires. These two Y forces within us are constantly fighting 9 each other to win control over us, and our 0 wishes are never free from their pres9

9 sures. (As believers, we must be guided £ by the Holy Spirit). S But when you follow your own wrong 5

inclinations your lives will produce these £

evil results: impure thoughts, eagerness j? for lustful pleasure, idolarty, spiritism (that 9 is, encouraging the activity of demons), hatred and fighting, jealousy and anger, constant effort to get the best for yourself, complaints and criticisms, the feeling that 0 everyone else is wrong except those in 9

your own little group - and there will be £ wrong doctrine, envy, murder, drunken- 0 ness, wild parties, and all that sort of thing. 9

Let me tell you again as I have before, that £ anyone living that sort of life will not inherit 0 the Kingdom of God. But when the Holy 5

9 Spirit controls our lives he will produce this £

£ kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, pa- 2 2 tience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 5 9 gentleness and self-control. Those who 0 £ belong to Christ have nailed their natural evil desires to his cross and crucified them 9 there. 0 If we are living now by the Holy Spirit's

power, let us follow the Holy Spirit's lead- £ ing in every part of our lives. Then we 0 won't need to look for honors and popular- 9 ity, which lead to jealousy and hard feel- 9 9 ings." 0
