Gerald Baliles spoke to the annual dinner meeting of the Culpeper Retail Merchants Association.
He praised the efforts of small business in helping the Virginia economy.
The concern of small businesses about shoplifting, bad checks and other similar crimes drew Baliles’ attention. In comments following the meeting, he indicated that those were issues that needed to be dealt with forcefully and he pointed to his active record in law enforcement as Attorney General.
