Pastor’s Aid

Keverend Ulysses Martin, his choir and congregation from Culpeper will be guests at Hopewell Baptist Church in Sperryville for the Pastor’s Aid Anniversary on Nov. 10 at 3 p.m. The program is sponsored by Rachel Aylor, president.

Flexercise class

An eight-week series of exercise classes began on Oct. 30 at 6 p.m. Classes will be held at the Washington Community Center. The exercises will focus on flexibility and muscle toning. The class fee is $20. Call Rose Anne Sharp at 675-3887 for more information.

Purnell art opening

On Nov. 3 between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., the Middle St. Gallery will have an opening reception for the show and sale of recent paintingn by Robin Purnell. Purnell is a Washington resident who has had sellout shows in Africa and Russia before moving to Rappahannock. The show will continue through Nov. 29.
