laws aimed at the criminal and not the law-abiding gun owners and hunters.” Bay Clean Up

Jerry Baliles, in statements, has stressed the need to accelerate the efforts to clean up the Chesapeake Bay through incentive programs to reduce the flow of non-point source pollution. A major point in his comments related to the environment has dealt with the cleanup of toxic waste sites and the management for future waste disposal.

“Wise use of our natural resources in protecting Virginia’s environment is a key to the future of our outdoor recreational traditions. Preventing overexploitation of resources and pollution of the environment is a high priority,” explained Gerald Baliles. Fisherman Gerald Baliles has actively participated in hunting and fishing in the 7th District. He has enjoyed a canoe fishing trip down the Shenandoah River in Page County and has frequently taken the opportunity to enjoy Central Piedmont. When riding through Madison County recently, Gerald Baliles commented, “One of my favorite places to stay is Graves’ Lodge. Everyone talks about the food, and I agree, it’s great, but what they don’t say is how beautiful this section of Virginia is. It’s a joy just to get away and come to this area for peace and relaxation.”
