Members of the 1985-86 senior class of Rappahannock County High School journeyed, on Sept. 27, to the campuses of Lord Fairfax Community College in Middletown and Shepherd College in Shepherdstown, W. V'a.
Anticipation was high and everyone was looking forward to some true insight as to college life.
Once we arrived, we were separated into two groups and were assigned a guide. We were given tours and lectures regarding computer sciences and technology and secretarial science. In-depth information was extended each student and many questions were answered.
Sometime later, we again, boarded the bus and were bound for Shepherd College. We were greeted with an invitation to have lunch in the dining hall and, needless to say, we welcomed the idea.
There was much interest shown in this campus and we asked for literature and admission instructions.
The trip home was used for discussion and interest was keen. The response was rewarding as the seniors came home with renewed interest and the day was, therefore, deemed a success.
