Work Session Coverage Next Week
Due to publishing deadlines, the Rappahannock News will delay until next week a report on a joint planner-supervisors’ meeting scheduled for September 19. The joint board plans to meet in work session following the Planning Commission’s regular monthly meeting. The supervisors and planners are scheduled to discuss more revisions of the county’s proposed zoning ordinance.

• Costello, Slaughter To Meet
Lews M. Costello (D) and IX French Slaughter, Jr. (R) an ached- - uled to make a joint appearance September 22 in Frederick County before the Frederick County Farm Bureau, according to activity schedules released by each candidate. The joint appearance is scheduled to take place at James Wood High School beginning at 7 p.m.
Costello and Slaughter are vying for the 7th District seat in the House of Representatives that will be left when Congresaman J. Kenneth Robinson (R) retires after this term. Also vying for the 7th District seat is R.E. Frazier, an independent candidate.
