Crabfeast Saturday
The Culpeper Exchange Club will conduct a benefit crabfeast Saturday, September 22, Emiel Smet, a co-chairman of the event, announces. The crabfeast will take place at Culpeper Agricultural Enterprise on Route 29 South from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. All proceeds from the event already are earmarked for the Child Abuse Program, Mr. Smet said.
Prices for the event are: Adults, $10; children 6-12, $6; children under 6, $2. The price includes all the hard shell crabs you can eat, beans, cole slaw and beverages (beer, iced tea, soft drinks). “Blues To Jazz”
An outdoor concert featuring John Jackson and Periscope Jazz Quartet of the Shenandoah Conservatory will be held Saturday, September 22 from 1 to 4:30 next to the Washington fire hall. Admission is $2 50 (students and seniors), $4.60 (RAAC members) and $6.60 (others). In case of rain, the concert will be held at the Gay Street Theater. This event is sponsored by RAAC.
