While an unquestionably successful season of summer steeplechasing has just drawn to a close, the upcoming fell schedule on the National Steeplechase and Hunt Association calendar looks to be even more inviting.
Already the golden anniversary celebration at Fair Hill is part of the history books and recapped elsewhere in this section, and for the next live weekends the spotlight will be turned on Virginia where the bulk of the sport between the flags will take place.
Additions and deletions to the annual fall schedule are noteworthy here. It is with great sadness that the 50th anniversary of steeplechasing at Montpelier is absent from the NSHA condition book. The traditional date was reserved for the
