The Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation has openings for Highway Equipment Operator A at the Marshall Area Headquarters, Marshall, Va. Duties: Operate trucks, tractors and rollers, perform manual labor, repairing bridges, patching operations and other handiwork.
Possession of a valid State motor vehicle operator's or chauffeur’s license and the ability to pass a performance test on selected equipment specified in the class. A working knowledge of the operation and maintenance of light-duty, power-driven. Highway equipment; a working knowledge of the State laws and Agency regulations governing the operation of equipment on the highways; abiIty to make routine reports on hours worked or materials used.
