Parents who visited gathered first in the gymnasium, where Principal Maggie Piper welcomed the group before introducing the elementary school staff. Teachers and support staff then went to their classrooms and offices, where each greeted parents and pupils while they toured the building.
Among the highlights of the tour: the school’s reading and math labs, new computers and new band room. All rooms and offices were open to the public.
Back-to-School night concluded in the gymnasium, where pastries and refreshments were served during a 20minute “social.”
