McEwan, 44, has been with the firm since 1978, first as controller and most recently as vice president of fi.nance. During his tenure, he has been instrumental in implementing computer-based operations throughout the company, both in the production and accounting areas. He also instituted ComputerMail Systems, a sister company to ARCOM, which provides computerized direct mail and word processing services.
A native of Loudoun County, McEwan holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.
He has been an instructor of business and accounting at Shenandoah College in Virginia, staff accountant with Barbour and Hoover in Winchester, controller of Murry’s Steaks, Inc., and director of finance for the Town of Leesburg. He is a member of the Institute of Newspaper Controllers and Finance Officers.
He and his wife Susan reside $n Purcellville. He has four children: Chris, Sandra, Kimberly and Katie.
