Washington, D.C., during an exciting overtime game of 7 chukkers (periods). This was the “finals” of the Congressional 8 Goal Polo Tournament. Our congratulations to the team who axe: C. W. “Bill” Fannon, Jr., Chet Fannon, Philip Staples of Richmond, and Daniel Fernandez of Argentina, a guest of the Fannon’s. Washington got 2 goals ahead in the 5th chukker, then Rappahannock came back in the 6th chukker to tie the score, and went on to win in the 7th.
What a wild and windy storm last Friday!! Our gigantic, dog house was lifted off the ground, carried across the yard, and dropped on it’s top, barely missing the basketball hoop. The dogs - Mania A Whah, and the cats - Whiskers A Paku, are fascinated with the sudden, new location and design. Now it’s much more interesting upsidedown!!! meow....arrff—arff....
