Choose Right Athletic Footgear! During the warm season many people vigorously exercise outdoors. Much of their strenuous work may be good for the body but can prove harmful to the feet if proper precautions are not taken.
The best protection for the feet is, obviously, proper shoes. Finding the proper shoes not only involves fit and comfort but needs related to particular sport activities.
If the sport involves a court of any kind, such as tennis, squash, racquetball or basketball, a shoe is needed to support more than forward foot movements.
Basketball shoes have suction-grip soles to prevent skids and may have a high top to guard against ankle ii\jurie8.
Tennis shoes are more padded than basketball shoes and are built for stability and sure footing. Smooth surfaced soles work best on artificial turf or carpeted surfaces and patterned soles work well on clay surfaces. Either type of sole works well on cement surfaces.
A third type of court shoe, relatively new, is the aerobic shoes, designed specifically for indoor courts and fancy footwork. The aerobic shoe combines the shock absorbency of a regular running shoe and with the allaround support and padding of the tennis shoe.
