It is at Great Meadow that the International Gold Cup will De revived. True, the greet gold-plated cup, first given at the late great Grasslands meeting in the foil of 1981, has not been out of circulation for any time at afi. Last year Mrs. Wallace Lanahan’s Sugar Bee, ridden by Gregg Morris, won it at Ligonier, Pa., over the tough championship brush course. r
This season the Gold Cup will carry ■ with it a purse of $16,000 and will be presented to the best timber horse of the afternoon. *
Former Rolling Rock race chairman Alfred Hunt also sent over the Torrence Miller Cup to be contested over the twomile brush course at the inaugural Great Meadow meeting.
On Sept. 22 Delaware Park, revived this spring after being idle for two years, will offer four jumping races on its regular 10-race card. Originally scheduled as a double-header with jumping in the afternoon and flat racing at night, it was turned into a three-day weekend meeting
