Child development screening
The Rappahannock Public School System is sponsoring^ free clinic to screen development in children from birth to five years of age from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 26-27 and Oct. 3 at the county elementary school.
Children will be checked for development in speech and language, general development, social and vision.
The clinic is not designed to determine if a child is ready for kindergarten.

Street dance scheduled
Trapezoid will be providing music for a street dance with Jim Morrison calling in front of the old Town Hall in Washington, Va. on Oct. 5.
There will be a children's/family dance in the afternoon from 4:30 to 6 p.m. and an adult dance under the stars starting at 7:30 p.m.
