With its elegantly festive atmosphere, the International Gold Cup is a fitting prelude to the holiday season. The Gold Cup races have become known for their such pre-race events as the U.S. Park Police Drill Team exhibition and the terrier races, and these entertainments serve to enhance the excitement of the day. Another increasingly popular race day event is the pony races, which are scheduled to being at 11:30 a.m.
