On campaign spending Mr. Wood said that the average in the past two elections for contested House of Del* egates seats had been betweeil $67,000 and $70,000. He said his; campaign was estimating it would need $75,000 to $80,000 for this election. “It’s disgusting to spend that type of money,” he added. *
He said his Sept. 1 report showed about $20,000 raised and about $7,000 spent. He said he did not know how much had been raised and spent since, but estimated over $25,000 had been raised and “we’ve been spending quite a bit lately.”
Mr. Wood said he was pleased with fundraising so far but was concerned that with so many races ip this election and the state of the economy fundraising might become a problem.
