Apple Harvest festival

The annual Apple Harvest festival sponsored by the Sperryville Business Council will be held on Oct. 5 and 6 throughout the town. Events will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.

Family portraits

Family portraits will be taken on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Child Care and Learning Center. All proceeds will benefit the 7th grade Rappahannock Elementary Williamsburg class trip. The cost is $10 for an 11 x 14 photo. Packages will be available approximately three weeks after portaits are taken. For appointments call Martha KidwelJ or Arthur Neufeld at 987-8259.

Dance at Amissville

The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor a dance from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26. The band Tarragon will be featured. Proper dress is required and you must be 21. For more information or reservations call Sheila Scott, 937-4357.

Tennis tournament
