Born in Culpeper, Mrs. Grier had resided in the Princeton and Trenton areas since 1950. She was employed as a private duty nurse.
A member of St. John’s Baptist Church, she served on its deaconess board and scholarship committee. A member of the New Jersey Quartet Association, she served as its financial secretary and on its scholarship committee.
Daughter of the late Frances Williams Wormley, she is survived by her father, Lloyd Wormley of Culpeper; her husband, Jesse L. Grier Sr.; two sons, Jesse L. Grier Jr. of Ewing and David L. Grier of Woodbine; two daughters, Barbara Jean Grier and Debora Ann Grier, both of Trenton; a brother, Harvey Wormley of Boston; two sisters, Gloria Wright of Boston and Audrey - Mack of Princeton; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and a goddaughter, Johnetta SmithAdams of Trenton.
