Mr. Baumgardner noted that the owner of Montpelier, Mr. Fletcher, a Sperryville attorney, is a past chairman both of the 7th District Democratic Committee and the Rappahannock Democratic Committee.
He further noted that the 1991 Democratic ticket is attracting broad support throughout this geographic area and that traditionally conservative Virginia Democrats, in particular, are expressing a strong interest in supporting the party’s ticket in this fall’s elections.
A contribution to the party of $10 will be accepted from those attending the fundraiser.
