He has been to Malibu—twice—but when Del. George Allen first heard about the Democratic Party’s new sobriquet for him, “Malibu George,” the GOP’s 7th District Congressional candidate made a different connection.
“My first reaction was the Chevy Malibu. I’ve got a pickup truck and a Ford Explorer,” said Del. Alien, but no Chevrolet.
At any rate, the Democrats undoubtedly were referring to Malibu, Calif., as when former candidate T. Dean Reed noted Del. Allen has a “California quality” to him.
