NSDAR being incorporated under the laws of the District of Columbia; and that July 4th Independence Day, is the 215th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of independence. She asked that the members keep alive the spirit of this Declaration.
The Registrar, Mrs. Dale Metzinger, presented the name of a prospective member who was accepted by vote of the chapter.
The Historian, Mrs. Dieter Knuepfer, wishes to mark a grave of a patriot this coming year, one not already marked, and asked for information for one.
It was announced that the luncheon reservations for the District VI meeting in Harrisonburg on Sept. 26 must be in advance.
The next chapter meeting will be Oct. 8 at the recently dedicated new Rappahannock County Library with Mrs. Eldon Brown as speaker.
