State police are investigating an incident in which a driver apparently left the scene of an accident on U.S. 211, 4.7 miles west of Route 651, at 1:50 p.m. Sept. 13, according to Sgt. G.A. Morris.
A 1980 Chevy sustained minor damages when it ran off the right side of U.S. 211 and hit a guardrail, said Sgt. Morris. The driver apparently fled, and a passenger, Robert Moody, told Trooper C. A. Moore that he did not know the driver’s identity, said Sgt. Morris.
