Col. R.J. Petersen

Col. Robert J. Petersen USA (Ret.) of Alexandria died Tuesday, Aug. 27 in Montreal, Quebec.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn S. (Dolly) Petersen, formerly of Flint Hill; one daughter, Susan P. McLaughlin; two sons, Robert J. Petersen Jr. and Dr. Kenneth E. Petersen; one brother, Richard E. Petersen; and six grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Petersen were married in Trinity Episcopal Church on Dec. 28, 1948.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 3 at the Ft. Meyer Post Chapel in Ft. Meyer, Va. Interment was in Arlington National Cemetery with military honors.
