Angela Dawn Lilly of Chester Gap became the bride

Angela Dawn Lilly of Chester Gap became the bride of William Edgar Davis III of Front Royal on Saturday, Aug. 17 in Chester Gap Baptist Church. The 2 p.m. double ring candlelight ceremony was performed by the Rev. William Alford.

Pianist was Marie Franklin of Front Royal. Sheree’ Mathews of Bentonville was soloist and sang “What a Difference You’ve Made in My Life” and “The Wedding Song.”

The bride is-the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James F. Lilly Sr. of Chester Gap. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald L. Reil of Front Royal.

Escorted by her father, and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a traditional white gown of tissue taffeta featuring a Sabrina neckline accented in beaded alencon lace. The ball-gown style sleeves were of rolled taffeta layers. The fitted bodice was molded in matching beaded lace forming a basque waist accented at the back by a layered Peplum style bow in Schiffli embroidered lace. Her headpiece was a silk floral bandeau with sidesprays. From the headpiece fell an elbow length veil of French illusion. She carried a cascading bouquet of silk dusty rose and pink roses, lilies, climatis, bell spike and ivy. Her bouquet was accented with seed pearls. Her jewelry was a strand of pearls and pearl tear-drop earrings.

The bride chose her sister-inlaw, Angie Lilly, of Front Royal as her matron of honor. She was attired in a tea-length satin gown of dusty rose. The gown featured a scoop neck, fitted bodice and three-quarter length sleeves. The full skirt fell from a rounded, dropped waist. Criss-cross straps accented the keyhole back and a bow graced the natural waist-line in back. Dusty rose shoes complimented her gown. She carried a silk bouquet of dusty rose and pink roses accented with baby’s breath, ribbons and seed pearls.

Bridesmaids were Dawn Dinges of Edinburg; Troy Darr of Front Royal, sister of the bridegroom.
