The program for the afternoon was a skit presented by Mrs. Harry H. Black and Mrs. Jack C. Pamplin who were introduced by Mrs. Edgar F. Puryear Jr. They gave the background of the Constitution and told of the procedures that went into writing it. The Constitution was bom of the American Revolution and it is interesting that the Constitution Convention was convened in the same room in Philadelphia w here the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776.
