The car was registered to Douglas Utnus of Damascus, Md. Sgt. Morris stated that the passenger was intoxicated and the car was registered improperly.
Charges are pending a full investigation.

• Seven people were charged with a total of 12 misdemeanors following an investigation by Rappahannock Sheriffs Office deputies into trespassing and relic hunting on a Washington, Va.-area property.
The first call about a suspicious vehicle on Route 679 (old U.S. 211) behind Hillsdale Grocery came on Sept. 5, but the occupants got away, according to Lt. Jeff Brown, the Sheriffs Office investigator.
The next day, Friday, Sept. 6, five people were caught leaving the scene with metal detectors, but they told police they had permission from the landowners.
