In 1989, the International Gold Cup Races brought television coverage to Great Meadow for the first time when WNVC/TV aired the program, “For the Love of a Horse.” The hour-long show featured the highlights of the 52nd running of the International Gold Cup Races. The program was later televised nationally by satellite to more than 200 public television stations.
This year, the 54th running of this timber classic will once again be covered by national television.
