Participants came from a broad geographic area. Virginia was well represented with riders from Portsmouth, Richmond, Williamsburg and the Northern Virginia area as well as Maryland and D.C. There was a large contingent of Rappahannock riders.
Fanning Baumgardner, 77, of Washington, was the oldest participant but that did not deter him from completing the 20 mile RoughRide course.
